Vietnam Green Sand Foundry Production Line Launched

Recently, a green sand casting production line project in Vietnam was officially launched and put into operation
in a local industrial park, marking a key step in the transformation of Vietnam's foundry industry towards green
and automated production.
The production line adopts the internationally mainstream green sand casting process (carbon-free clay wet
molding sand technology), using quartz sand and bentonite as the main raw materials. The molding sand
recycling rate exceeds 90%, reducing carbon and pollutant emissions at the source, aligning with the trend of
green manufacturing. The project is equipped with automated molding, pouring, and sand processing systems,
focusing on products such as automotive parts and construction machinery castings. Upon reaching full capacity,
it can achieve an annual output of over 10,000 tons of high-quality castings.
Leveraging its geographical and cost advantages, Vietnam is becoming an important destination for the global
relocation of the foundry industry. The establishment of this green sand production line fills the gap in high-end
environmentally friendly sand casting capacity in the country, meeting the needs of both the local and Southeast
Asian markets, while also helping enterprises circumvent trade barriers and optimize their global production
capacity layout.
Industry insiders say that this project will drive the upgrading of Vietnam's foundry industry chain, promote the
export of technology and standards, deepen Sino-Vietnamese manufacturing cooperation, and inject new
momentum into the regional economy.
