Clay strips used for sealing boxes

Sealing strips, also known as box sealing strips, sand box sealing strips, or casting strips, 

are flexible sealing materials used in the casting industry.

Appearance: Brownish-black/dark gray, soft, clay-like strips; tough and not easily broken.

Material: Made of clay, fiber, binder, etc.; heat-resistant and crack-resistant.

Function: Used for sealing gaps during sand mold assembly to prevent sparks, iron leakage, 

and scorching during molten iron/steel pouring.

Common specifications include Φ6, Φ8, Φ10, and Φ12mm, and they are usually supplied in cartons.
